Stoke City will be looking to celebrate qualification to their first ever FA Cup final by securing a comfortable victory when they visit Aston Villa in their next Premier League game this Saturday. The Potters went into their semi final clash against Bolton as slight underdogs but a brace from Jonathan Walters after Matthew Etherington, Robert Huth and Kenwyne Jones had put Stoke three goals ahead meant that they emerged comfortable victors in the end.

Manager Tony Pulis was delighted with his side’s performance against Bolton and will now be backing his team to go all the way and lift the trophy by securing a victory against Manchester City in the final. Pulis will now be turning his attention towards the Premier League and even though they are just five points above the relegation zone, the Stoke manager will be pushing his side to aim for a place inside the top half.

Aston Villa on the other hand have all but banished fears of relegation thanks to vital victories in their last two games. After securing a narrow win over Newcastle United, Villa built on that performance to bounce back from a goal down to register a 2-1 win thanks to a late goal by Gabriel Agbonlahor in injury time.

Villa had lost 2-1 to Stoke early in the season and manager Gerard Houllier will be keen to set the record straight this weekend.
