The Red Devils have won just one of their five games away from Old Trafford and while the solitary win came in their last away game against Stoke City, manager Alex Ferguson will be keen to make sure that his side starts showing more consistency on road if they are to have any hopes of securing a record 19th Premier League title this season.

United were fortunate to take advantage of Chelsea’s slipup against Wolves and collect all three points against Wolves last weekend. With a number of first choice players out due to injuries, United fielded a fairly weakened lineup though Park Ji Sung did give United a first half lead. However Wolves fought back to equalize through Sylvan Ebanks-Blake only for Park to grab the winner deep in injury time.

Meanwhile Aston Villa will be keen to put the player turmoil at the club to rest before taking on United this weekend with John Carew at loggerheads against coach Gerard Houllier. The Norwegian striker is out of contract this summer and talks about extending it have been impeded by a public spat with the Aston Villa manager.
