Arsenal and Burnley will go head to head this weekend, in the game week 22 of the English Premier League. The match will be played in the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have once again slipped down to the fourth place in the table with 44 points, but are just a point behind two of the top teams. In order to ensure that they don't slip down further, they need this win here. Last weekend, Arsenal visited Swansea City and came back home as victors, with a 4-0 scoreline. With boys back in the scoring zone, they will be keen on continuing the same form.
AAs for Burnley, while they are quite strong at home, their record as visitors is a disappointing one. The Clarets have lost eight of their nine matches as the visiting side, which has been a reason for their current position at number 10 in the league table. Their last couple of away matches ended without a win - a 2-1 loss to Manchester City and a goalless draw to Sunderland.
Arsenal have got a stellar record at the Emirates, and given the recent form of Alexis Sanchez and co., they should be able to win this one easily. Expect Arsenal to keep a clean sheet.
The Gunners are in a terrific form at the moment, as they have won their last four league encounters. In fact, not only are they winning, but they are also scoring plenty of goals. Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott have already got seven goals and three assists for the team together, while defensively, Shkodran Mustafi is proving his worth to the team.
Last weekend, they routed Chelsea by 3-0, which was their most impressive victory so far in the season. Now, given the form that Arsenal are in at the moment, it is going to be a lot difficult for Burnley to repeat their antics from the 2-0 win against Watford. In addition to this, Burnley have conceded 7 goals in their last four league matches, which against a team like Arsenal is very dire news.
Moreover, Arsenal have won their last four meetings against Burnley, biggest of which came in 2014 by 3-0. This time around too, we should except Arsene Wenger's men to produce a similar result and continue on their winning ways.
The fans at the Emirates Stadium will welcome Burnley when they take on Arsenal at 15:00 hours BST on Saturday, November 1, 2014.
This is a match that Arsenal is expected to win. Arsenal’s form is not so great either especially when you consider the quality they possess. They have managed nine points in the last six games. Alexis Sanchez is looking in good form and he will be a big threat for the Burnely defence. His brace against Sunderland was enough to seal a win for the Gunners. We could get to see Theo Walcott introduced in this game after a lengthy patch on the side-lines due to injury.
Burnley’s goalkeeper, Tom Heaton will be a key player when these teams go against each other. It will be a mammoth task to keep Arsenal from scoring. Burnley are currently sitting at the bottom of the table in 20th place having picked up just three points out of their last six matches with no wins.
Based on the poor run of form Burnley is going through, an Arsenal win seems likely the outcome with minimum two goals margin, if not more. Burnley will have be at their best but even that may not be enough if Arsenal starts well.
