Valencia are the surprise league leaders in Spain with five wins from their first six games and coach Unai Emery will be optimistic that his side will maintain that form against defending champions Barcelona by securing at least a point from the game.

Barcelona on the other hand are off to a less than impressive start, dropping five points so far to sit fourth in the league table. The Catalan giants were held to a draw by Russian side Rubin Kazan in the Champions League followed by another disappointing performance against Mallorca in their last match.

Valencia had suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat in this fixture last season and though they had held Barcelona to a stalemate in the return leg, Emery will be aware that his side has a tough fight on hand if they are to avoid another defeat at Camp Nou.
