The Catalan giants saw their lead at the top of the table cut down to just five points after they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Sevilla last weekend. Barca had taken the lead on the half hour mark through Bojan but Jesus Navas equalized for Sevilla four minutes into the second half.

The draw also came at an added cost after Pedro limped off the field with an injury though the winger should be available for the game this weekend.

Meanwhile Getafe coach Michel will be hoping that a good performance against Barcelona will provide a new boost for his side who are rapidly losing out steam in the race for a European spot.

A five game winless streak has seen Getafe slip down from seventh to outside the top half of the table and have to improve fast if they are to have any chance of playing in Europe next season.
