Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho will be aware that his side cannot hand the initiative back to Barcelona when they take on arch rivals Atletico Madrid in their next match on Saturday. Watch all the live La Liga action here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

The league leaders dropped two points against Sevilla last weekend and Madrid took full advantage by closing down the gap at the top to just five points.

However with his side facing a difficult trip of its own, Mourinho will be aware that anything less than a victory will end his side’s narrow hopes of winning the league this season.

Atletico Madrid on the other hand will be hoping to register their first league win over their city rivals since regaining their La Liga status. Atletico’s last win over Madrid came back in 1999-00 season and since then they have lost 12 of the 17 games between the two sides.

With a fight for the Champions League spot all but over for Atletico, coach Quique Sanchez Flores will be hoping that his side will at least finish inside the top six and qualify for the Europa League next season.
