Scotland coach Levein has handed Blackburn defender Grant Hanley and Aberdeen forward Chris Maguire their first international call ups. Dundee United striker David Goodwillie, who is currently facing investigation for assault, has been omitted by Levein for this friendly. The Scottish squad contains only one player plying his trade from outside the UK- Bursaspor striker Kenny Miller, who enjoyed several fruitful seasons for Rangers before moving east to Turkey in the winter transfer window.

Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington has handed Werder Bremen youngster Liam Boyce his first senior call up. There is also a recall for record scorer David Healy, who was excluded from the squad that took on Morocco in a friendly in November last year. PNE midfielder Adam Barton, who was in the squad for the Morocco game, has been left out as he still harbours hope of an England call up. Goalkeeper Maik Taylor is out injured.
