Oscar Tabarez has named a strong lineup for the friendly game against Republic of Ireland on Tuesday with the Uruguay coach keen to get his tactics right before the start of Copa America in July. Tabarez has included a number of players who were selected for the 2010 World Cup campaign and has called up Diego Forlan along with Palermo’s Abel Hernandez and Napoli’s Edinson Cavani in a very strong attacking lineup though Luiz Suarez was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Porto duo Jorge Fucile and Alvaro Pereira also find their name in the 21-man squad which has no new faces with Genoa’s Diego Polenta being dropped from the initial 25-man squad along with Cristian Rodríguez and Jorge Martínez.

Ireland on the other hand will be without key winger Seamus Coleman who withdrew from the squad after suffering from an ankle injury. Coleman joins Leon Best on the treatment table while there are doubts over the participation of defender Sean St Ledger who has not trained since suffering from a knee injury.
