Caretaker coach Sergio Batista has named a strong Argentina squad for the friendly against Republic of Ireland even as speculation continues over who will be taking over from Diego Maradona at the helm. Both Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez have been named in the 24-man squad along with Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria, Javier Mascherano and Diego Milito. Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni too has named a strong lineup with Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given returning to the squad for a game which will be the first international game to be played at the Aviva Stadium.
