A one match ban for all the players in the World Cup squad means that Blanc will have a great chance to look at some fresh options available to him ahead of the start of their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign next month.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Marseille's Hatem Ben Arfa have been included in the squad in spite of opposition from a section of the French media. Arsenal's Samir Nasri has also been called up after he was surprisingly left out of the World Cup squad while Lassana Diarra is also a part of the 22-man squad.

Wigan’s Charles N'Zogbia is one of the surprise names on the list though he had an excellent last season with his club and was named the Players' Player of the Year and Fans' Player of the Season last season. West Ham transfer target Loic Remy also finds a place in the squad and is expected to make his debut against Norway.
