The Dutch have taken their perfect record from the World Cup qualifiers to the continental stage and have won all of their opening four games to sit three points clear of Hungary in the race for the automatic qualifying spot. Coach Bert van Marwijk will be pleased with his side’s form but will be aware that there are still games to be played before their qualification is assured.

The Dutch coach has included Robin Van Persie in the squad to face Turkey even though Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that the striker was still far away from gaining full fitness. Other players struggling with injuries to be included in the squad are Dirk Kuyt, Mark van Bommel and Ruud Van Nistelrooy though Nigel de Jong has once again been left out.

Meanwhile Turkey will be hoping to recover from their shock defeat to minnows Azerbaijan in their last qualifying match that could prove to be fatal for their hopes to overtake Germany in the race for the automatic qualifying spot.
