Greece coach Fernando Santos, whose team face Malta on Saturday, is confident that he has the resources to take them back to the glory days of Euro 2004. It is this pragmatic approach that has seen Santos recall AEK Athens winger Panayiotis Lagos to the Greece squad after a gap of four years.

Georgios Samaras will once again be expected to provide the thrust to the attacking prowess of Greece.  The Celtic hitman has been a regular in the national team and although he did not have such a great World Cup last year; Santos expects him to provide the cutting edge in the lead up to Euro 2010.

Meanwhile Poland are expected to start with Robert Lewandowski as Ireneusz Jelen is ruled out due to injury. Goalkeeper Przemysław Tyton also misses out with injury, which means that Grzegorz Sandomierski could get the starting place nod.
