The German coach recently signed an extension to his contract and with Germany on course for another comfortable qualifying campaign, Low will be keen to identify the next young player who will be the mainstay of the national team with captain Michael Ballack not expected to play beyond next summer.

Having handed debuts for Mainz forward Andre Schurrle and Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze in a friendly against Sweden last October, Low is expected to start both the teenagers against Australia with Thomas Muller and Mezut Ozil likely to be rested following the game against Kazakhstan.
