Argentina coach Sergio Batista will be looking to continue his side’s winning start to the new year with a fifth successive victory when his side takes on Costa Rica in a friendly game on Wednesday. Catch all the live streaming soccer from that game by signing up with us here on Live Sport Network

Having suffered a defeat in his first game as the Argentina manager, Batista has since then led his side to five straight victories including a thumping 4-1 win over reigning World champions Spain and a narrow 1-0 win over arch rivals Brazil.

With nothing less than a title triumph expected from Argentina in this summer’s Copa America, Batista will have one final chance of testing some of his fringe players before the tournament kicks off in July.

Batista has continued to ignore striker Carlos Tevez for the friendlies against United States and Costa Rica and while the Argentina coach claimed that he wants to test other options, Argentinian FA president Julio Grondona is reported to have said Tevez is being punished for pulling out of the friendly against Brazil claiming injury only to play for the club days later.

Batista has named a number of new faces for the friendlies with Adrian Gabbarini, Federico Fazio, Fernando Belluschi and Eduardo Salvio all earning their first call-ups while Sergio Aguero is also dropped.
