Manager Owen Coyle has been relatively frugal in his transfer dealings so far this summer with Robbie Blake and Martin Petrov arriving on free transfers while Bolton are reported to have paid 2 million pounds for Alonso.

Lee Chung-Yong’s future at the club has come under speculation with Liverpool rumored to be interested in the player though the South Korea winger said that he is not interested in leaving the club. Bolton have had a disappointing pre-season so far, losing 2-0 to Bamber Bridge before managing draws against Toronto FC and Rochdale.

Meanwhile St Johnstone coach Derek McInnes is hopeful of maintaining his side’s good form in the pre-season and is likely to play Stuart Duff who has joined the club on trial. Other arrivals include Cleveland Taylor, Steve Parkin and Scott Dobie as McInnes looks to improve on his side’s eighth placed finish from last season.
