The Magpies are clear favorites to secure a thumping victory over a side that only recently managed to gain its entry into the Football League. With his side enjoying a very good start to life in League Two, Stevenage manager Graham Westley will be satisfied if his side can put in a decent performance against a side that is currently 71 places above it in the Football League ladder.

Stevenage kicked off their FA Cup campaign with an impressive performance against League One side MK Dons, holding them to draws in the first round clash including the replay before snatching a penalty shootout victory. The Boro then secured a comfortable 2-0 win in the second round against Wimbledon with Josh Walker and Yemi Odubade on target.

Newcastle though will present a fairly difficult challenge though Stevenage impressed the only time both the teams met in the competition, holding the Magpies to a 1-1 draw in the fourth round of the competition back in 1997-98 before losing out 2-1 in the replay.
