Both the FA Cup and the Carling Cup have served as testing grounds for Arsenal’s talented youth squads but with the trophy drought now into its sixth year, Wenger is likely to follow the policy that has taken him to the semi final of the Carling Cup this season and name a strong line up for the clash against the Whites.

However some of the fringe players, including Wojciech Szczesny, Denilson and Nicklas Bendtner, are likely to feature against Leeds with Wenger looking to rotate his squad ahead of the trip to Ipswich Town for the first leg of the Carling Cup semi final clash four days later.

Leeds United on the other hand will be looking to pull off another upset having beaten Manchester United at this stage of the competition last season. The Whites are increasingly looking likely to clinch back to back promotions straight to the Premier League and coach Simon Grayson will be hoping to complement his side’s excellent form in the Championship with a strong run in the FA Cup.
