Defending champions Atletico picked up their first win in Group B as they downed Rosenborg 3-0 at Estadio Vicente Calderon a fortnight ago. Los Colchoneros took the lead in the 18^th minute when Diego Godin nodded in a cross from Jose Antonio Reyes.

Argentine substitute Sergio Aguero scored seconds after coming off the bench to make it 2-0 to Atletico in the 66^th minute. The forward then set up Diego Costa for Atletico’s third and final goal twelve minutes later.

With that win on Match Day 3, Atletico have moved off the bottom of Group B and are currently level on points with second placed Aris Salonika, whom Los Colchoneros will meet in Madrid on Match Day 5. Rosenborg are currently at the bottom of the group but the Norwegians are by no means out of the reckoning.
