Nine man Porto beat Besiktas 3-1 on Match Day 3 to keep their 100% record in Group L intact. The visitors drew first blood in the 26^th minute when Radamel Falcao headed home from a corner.

Porto then had Fernando sent off towards the end but the result of the match was already beyond doubt at that stage. Bobo netted a consolation goal for Bernd Schuster’s Besiktas in second half stoppage time. Both Fernando and Maicon are suspended for Porto on Thursday.
