Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard could be ready to make his first appearance of the season when his side takes on Rabotnicki Skopje in the second leg of their Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday. Gerrard did not travel with the team for the lack of match fitness but looks to be ready after training with the team for more than a week. However Liverpool continue to be without their talismanic striker Fernando Torres who is out injured and is yet to confirm that he will stay with the club this season.
