A spot in the group stages of the Europa League is up for grabs when last season’s Champions League quarterfinalists CSKA Moscow host Anorthosis Famagusta on Thursday evening. See Europa League 2010 playoff round live on your computer by joining Live Sport Network today.

CSKA finished 5^th in the Russian Premier League last season, their worst ever finish since 2001, when they ended up a lowly seventh. The result also meant that they would be playing in the Europa League after eight consecutive seasons of Champions League football.

Anorthosis are still remembered by many for their giant killing acts in the 2008/09 Champions League. The Cypriot side upset fancied Olympiakos to reach the group stages and did well enough in a group that also consisted of Werder Bremen and Inter.

This season, Anorthosis have already beaten Armenian side Banants, Czech outfit HNK Šibenik and Belgian team Cercle Brugge in the Europa League. Banants were beaten 4-0,  while Sibenik were beaten 3-2 in extra time after losing the first leg 2-0. Cercle Brugge were seen off 3-2 on aggregate by Anorthosis.
