Anderlecht were beaten 1-0 by Croatian outfit Hajduk in Split on Match Day 2. Teenage striker Ante Vukusic netted the winner deep into second half injury time to condemn the visitors to their second successive defeat in Group G. Anderlecht had earlier lost 3-1 to Zenit St.Petersburg on Match Day 1.

AEK Athens suffered their first defeat in Group G on Match Day 2 as they went down 4-2 to Zenit in Russia. Zenit started the match well and were 2-0 up within the first quarter thanks to goals from Tomas Hubocan and Bruno Alves. AEK’s goals came from Niko Liberopoulos and Pantelis Kafes. The duo scored on either side of Danko Lazovic’s brace for Zenit.

AEK had Cristian Nasuti sent off in the first half against Zenit and the Argentine defender will play no part in the game against Anderlecht.
