The defending champions won all of their games during the World Cup qualifiers and have started the current qualifying campaign with a thumping 4-0 win over Liechtenstein. However coach Vicente Del Bosque will be aware that the real test starts on Friday with Spain facing a tricky trip to Scotland on Tuesday.

Spain will be without Xavi for the two games against Lithuania and Scotland with the Barcelona midfielder yet to fully recover from his recent injury though club team mate Carlos Puyol has been recalled after missing out the opening game with a leg injury. Cesc Fabregas and Raul Albiol are also out of action for Del Bosque’s side.

Meanwhile Lithuania coach Raimondas Zutautas will be looking to spring a surprise even though his side go into the match favorites to suffer a heavy defeat. Both the sides have met four times prior to the match this weekend with Spain winning three of the four games while Lithuania are yet to score a goal against the World champions.
