Ireland are currently positioned second in the group table, level on points with Armenia and Slovakia but boasting of a better head-to-head record. Macedonia are currently placed 5th in the group table, three points behind second placed Ireland and will have to be at their best if they are to come away with at least a point from Ireland having lost on both of their previous trips.
