Del Bosque was expected to rest some of his star players following a successful World Cup campaign but the former Real Madrid coach is leaving nothing to chance as he looks to successfully defend Spain’s European crown.

Fernando Torres, Andres Iniesta and Pepe Reina are in the squad after missing out on Spain’s friendly game against Mexico early this month. Torres is yet to recover fully from the injury sustained during the World Cup though the Liverpool striker is expected to start the game on the bench.

Meanwhile Liechtenstein coach Hans-Peter Zaugg has dropped a number of players who have been regulars with the international side. Thomas Beck, Christoph Biedermann, Benjamin Fischer and Wolfgang Kieber have all been dropped with Zaugg revealing that he wants to blood in new players in order to increase the competitiveness of his side.
