The Germans had secured a comfortable 3-0 win in Astana back in October with Lukas Podolski, Mario Gomez and Miroslav Klose all on target after Kazakhstan had done well to restrict Die Mannschaft to a goalless first half.

Having won all of their four qualifying games so far, coach Joachim Low will be keen to maintain his side’s winning streak and wrap up their qualification to the Euro 2012 finals as soon as possible.

As expected Michael Ballack once again misses out with Low stating that the 34-year old is yet to regain his full fitness. The Germany captain has struggled for a place in both the national squad and at his club Bayer Leverkusen ever since he suffered a ligament injury back in May last year.

Mario Gomez and Toni Kroos both find a place in the squad though keeper Rene Adler misses out with a muscle injury. Borussia Dortmund’s Sven Bender retains his place in the squad and is in line to make his debut for the national side.
