Azerbaijan suffered a 6-1 drubbing by Germany in September and play Austria on Friday before getting ready to welcome Turkey the following Tuesday. Vogts has included just two foreign players in his squad in the form of defender Rashad F Sadygov and winger Mahir Shukurov. He will hope that the domestic players do enough to ensure that the side gains its first points of the campaign.

Meanwhile Turkey have collected a maximum of 6 points from two outings so far. Turkey beat Kazakhstan 3-0 and Belgium 3-2 in their opening two games last month. They play Germany on Friday in a game that has the potential to decide the group winners.

Turkey boss Guus Hiddink will be without Selchuk Sahin, who has torn knee ligaments while Arda Turan is struggling to be fit for this game with a groin problem.
