Marseille will be hoping to register a second win over MSK Zilina in as many games and pull level with Spartak Moscow in the race for the second qualifying spot when the two teams meet again in their Champions League group stage match on Wednesday. Marseille’s narrow win at home to Zilina in their last match has seen the French club cut down the gap between the second and third place to just three points and with Spartak expected to suffer another defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday, Marseille coach Didier Deschamps will be aware that his side has a great chance of getting their Champions League campaign back on track.

Soulemanye Diawara scored the only goal of the match for Marseille three minutes into the second half to help his side secure vital three points from the match. Deschamps expressed his satisfaction over the result but will be aware that his side faces a tougher challenge in Serbia and will be looking for an improved performance from his side.

Zilina coach Pavel Hapal on the other hand will be hoping for a better performance from his side as he looks to help them open their account in the group stages of the competition. Hapal will be a bit worried over his side’s form against French opposition with Zilina winning just one and losing three of the four matches played against French sides.
