The Dutch champions have collected just one point from their opening two games and find themselves three points behind the qualifying spots. While there are still four games remaining in the group stage, coach Michel Preud'homme will be aware that anything less than a victory will put a serious dent in their hopes to qualify to the next round.

With his side off to a disappointing start in the domestic campaign as well, coach Thomas Schaaf will be hopeful that a victory on Wednesday will provide the much needed boost for his side.

Both the teams met during the Europa League round of 32 last season with Twente winning the first leg in Holland before Bremen secured the required result in the second leg to go through to the next round.
