Chelsea return to the Luzhniki Stadion for the first time since their defeat to Manchester United in the final of the 2008 Champions League when they take on Spartak Moscow in their next group match on Tuesday. The Blues were within a spot kick away from claiming their first ever Champions League crown by John Terry failed to convert from the spot, handing over the title to their arch rivals. Chelsea will be looking for a different end to their latest European campaign and are off to a great start by winning their first two games.

Spartak too have embarked on a perfect start to their group stage campaign, winning their opening two games to sit six points clear of the third placed Marseille. Spartak were tipped to finish third in the group behind Marseille but the Russian side have impressed many with their excellent displays in their first two games which includes a narrow victory in France.

However with his side set to face Chelsea in their next two games, Spartak coach Valery Karpin will be aware that Marseille have a great chance of reducing the gap drastically and will be hopeful of making use of their home advantage to collect at least a point against the Blues.

Chelsea will be without Yossi Benayoun who is out of action for at least six months though Jose Bosingwa is likely to return to the squad after recovering from a knee injury.
