Jose Mourinho won three of his four meetings as Inter Milan coach and with the Rossoneri yet to reach their consistent best, the Portuguese coach will be optimistic of improving on that record. Two wins from their opening two games has seen Madrid climb up to the top of their group table and a victory on Tuesday would see them take a very big step towards qualifying to the knockout stages.

Milan on the other hand were held by Ajax in their opening group match but recovered well to secure a comfortable victory over Auxerre to go three points clear in the race for the second qualifying spot. Coach Massimiliano Allegri will be hopeful of repeating the performance from last season that saw Milan secure their first win at Santiago Bernabeu after beating Madrid 2-1 at this stage of the competition.

Madrid will be facing a number of familiar faces in the Milan line up including former star Robinho who left Santiago Bernabeu to Manchester City two seasons ago. Milan also have ex-Barcelona players in Ronaldinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic who played under Mourinho before being sold to Barcelona last season.
