Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to end what has been an excellent debut group stage campaign in the Champions League by claiming the top spot in the group table when they visit FC Twente on Tuesday. Spurs were tipped to struggle in the group stages of the competition but home victories over Inter Milan, Werder Bremen and Twente meant that the English side has already qualified to the knockout stages of the competition and could end their group stage campaign above defending champions Inter Milan and finish at the top of the group.

Manager Harry Redknapp is delighted with his side’s form on the European stage and went on to claim that his side could beat any team in Europe and have an outside chance of ending their debut campaign by winning the trophy.

Twente on the other hand have nothing at stake except pride with the Dutch champions already out of the competition and assured of the third spot in the group that will see them prolong their European campaign into the Europa League.

Twente suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Spurs in the first leg with Roman Pavlyuchenko scoring a brace though the Dutch side will be optimistic of an improved performance this time around.
