The Danish champions looked a safe bet to progress out of the group ahead of Rubin Kazan but just one point from their last three games meant that Kazan are just one point behind in the third spot. Copenhagen suffered a disappointing defeat to Kazan in their last match with Christian Noboa scoring the only goal of the match.

Though Kazan face a difficult encounter against Barcelona in their final match, Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken will not be taking any chances and will be aiming to wrap up their qualification to the knockout stage with a victory over the visitors.

Panathinaikos on the other hand have nothing except pride left to play for with the Greeks already eliminated from the competition. Coach Jesualdo Ferreira will be hoping that his side will end their European campaign with their heads held high and register their first win in the group stage.
