Following a historic campaign last season that saw them lift their first league title in their history, Bursaspor will be looking to build on it by putting up a stiff challenge for a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League. One of the first tasks for Ertugrul Saglam will be to break their disappointing record on the European stage by winning their first game in more than 36 years.

However they face a stiff test against a Valencia side that seems to have taken the departures of their two star players into the stride by starting their new season with an excellent performance in their opening game of the season. Valencia had failed to qualify to the competition in the last three seasons and coach Unai Emery will be hoping for a strong run in the competition this time around.

New signing Roberto Soldado will be available for selection after missing out Valencia’s opening match against Malaga with a hamstring injury while there are no major injury concerns for Bursaspor.
