Auxerre will be hoping that their perfect home record against Russian opponents will be enough to help them overturn a first leg deficit and progress to the group stages of the Champions League at the expense of Zenit St Petersburg on Wednesday. The French side suffered a narrow defeat to Zenit in the first leg with Aleksandr Kerzhakov scoring the only goal of the match early in the 3rd minute.
