New Syrian coach Tita Valeriu faces a huge task as he takes over from Ratomir Dujkovic. With Syria in a tough group that also has Japan and Saudi Arabia, the new boss must motivate his side to win at least two games if they are to progress further in the tournament.

Japan are favorites to go through from this group and need to keep calm in these initial games. Coach Alberto Zaccheroni will hope his side can register another easy win as they are already miles further than any of the teams in this group as far as quality is concerned.
