Portsmouth's 1-0 defeat to Everton last weekend saw them officially register the worst start by a club in the top flight of English football with seven straight defeats. While Pompey did put up a good display against the Toffees and were unlucky not to have registered their first point of the season, pressure is building on Hart with David O'Leary, Glenn Hoddle and Alan Curbishley waiting in the wings.

With the club's financial situation being shaky at best, owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim has promised the fans that he has arranged a loan of around 50 million which will stabilize the club's short term future and provide some transfer funds during the January transfer window. Hart will be praying that his side can maintain their recent unbeaten run against Wolves with Pompey not having lost to Mick McCarthy's side in the last four meetings though they have only managed to win once.

Meanwhile Wolves will be still smarting from their 5-2 defeat to Sunderland last weekend and will be going all out to register three vital points against a side that could very well be fighting against them for survival in the Premier League.

Wolves showed great determination to restore parity after going two goals down with Darren Bent and Kenwyne Jones scoring from the penalty spot. However Sunderland proved to be the stronger team in the end with Jones grabbing a second while Michael Turner was also on target with Michael Mancienne rounding off the scoring with an own goal in the end.

Wolves currently find themselves just three points out of the relegation zone and McCarthy will be hoping that his side will manage to collect all three points on Saturday that could see them go as high as 10th in the table.
