Wolves made it through to this round thanks to their 0-2 win over Birmingham City. Goals from Andy Keogh and Sam Vokes gave them a well-deserved win. Manager Mick McCarthy is expected to field a stronger side for this game with Jarvis, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Chris Iwelumo getting a look in.

Kyel Reid, who is on lean from West Ham, is also expected to make his Cup debut. However Kevin Foley is a doubtful starter with a hamstring injury.

Middlesbrough made it through to the fourth round thanks to a 2-1 win over Barrow. An Afonso Alves brace ensured that Boro did not have much trouble in disposing off Blue Square Premier side Barrow, for whom Jason Walker got a consolation goal.

Boro boss Gareth Southgate will be more concerned about his side's prospects in the Premier League following their 3-0 loss to West Brom. However he is still expected to field a strong side for this game. Emanuel Pogatetz is a doubtful starter with a hamstring strain, while Josh Walker is out for four weeks with an ankle injury.
