The Potters look to have recovered from a dip in form and have collected eight points from their last four games. Stoke extended their unbeaten run to four games on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers thanks to goals from Danny Higginbotham, Mamady Sidibe and Matthew Etherington.

The win sees Stoke climb to 11th in the league table, two points behind Fulham but the Potters have two games in hand over their immediate rivals. Manager Tony Pulis was delighted that his 300th game in charge of Stoke ended in a comfortable victory for his side and was confident that they can maintain the form for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile Wigan Athletic will be desperately hoping to snap out of their poor run of form and secure vital three points against Stoke on Tuesday. The Latics have won just one of their last nine games and find themselves 16th in the league table, just two points above the drop zone.

Manager Roberto Martinez revealed that he was satisfied with his side’s 1-1 draw against Sunderland last weekend but added that they will have to be clinical in front of the goal in order to lift themselves higher up the league table.
