West Ham on their part will hope to recover from a shock 1-0 loss to Hull City in their last Premiership game. Michael Turner scored the only goal of the game for the home side, but that was after Carlton Cole and Herita Ilunga had missed wonderful chances to seal the game for West Ham.

Manager Gianfranco Zola has been worried about the strike department at Upton Park and hence has brought in veteran striker Diego Tristan on a free transfer, but the former Spain international was not fit to take part in the Hull game. He may feature in this game though and it remains to be seen if he has regained any of his erstwhile footballing skills. Tristan happens to be Zola's first signing since taking charge of the Hammers.

 

 

Meanwhile Arsenal are flying high on the achievements of their young side. The Gunners blasted Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Champions League midweek and even if they give half of that commitment this Sunday, one would assume the three points are theirs for the taking.

Arsenal bounced back nicely last week after being held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland. They trounced Everton 3-1 despite trailing through a Leon Osman goal early on in the game. Goals from Samir Nasri, Robin Van Persie and Theo Walcott helped the Gunners claim all three points.

 

 

Manager Arsene Wenger will be hoping his team can once again make short work of the West Ham defense as he seeks to challenge for domestic titles this year.
