The Hammers’ hopes of avoiding relegation received a blow last weekend as they were completely outplayed by Liverpool who secured a comfortable 3-0 win. The defeat meant West Ham were unable to take advantage of Hull City’s two dropped points against Birmingham and the Tigers could pull level with the Hammers if they beat Aston Villa on Wednesday.
