Meanwhile West Ham pulled themselves out of the relegation zone with a 5-3 win over Burnley. Goals from Jack Collison, Junior Stanislas, Carlton Cole, Guillermo Franco and Luis Jimenez nullified a brace from Steven Fletcher and another goal from Chris Eagles to give the Hammers some succor. The win took them to the 17th spot with 14 points from 14 games.

Manager Gianfranco Zola is under pressure, but is handling it well. He may be forced to sell some players in January in order to beef up his squad. For this game Mathew Upson is out with a hamstring injury, while Alex Diamanti is battling a hip issue.
