Bottom huggers West Brom have revived their season with some fine wins in recent games. Last week the Baggies overcame Middlesbrough 3-0 in an impressive manner with Robert Koren scoring a brace and Chris Brunt scoring another goal. The win put West Brom on par with Stoke City, but they remain at the bottom due to a poor goal difference.

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has a defensive crisis on his hands ahead of this game as Jonas Olsson, Abdoulaye Meite, Leon Barnett and Gianni Zuiverloon are all injured. His woes do not end here as James Morrison and Luke Moore are also struggling to be fit for this game with hamstring injuries.

 

 

Manchester United made it to the top of the table with a game in hand when they beat Bolton wanderers 1-0 away from home. An injury time goal from Dimitar Berbatov allowed the Red Devils to steal the top spot from Liverpool. They currently have 47 points from 21 games and also have a game in hand.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson though has injury worries as the season enters a crucial phase. Anderson, Nani, Jonny Evans and Park Ji-sung are out with injury as are Wayne Rooney and Rafael.

 

 

Paul Scholes continues to be a long-term absentee, while Ryan Giggs is a doubtful starter for this game. The reverse fixture was clinched 4-0 by Man United earlier this season.
