West Brom are on a high having registered their first away win of the season at Fulham. The Baggies beat Middlesbrough 1-0 thanks to a goal from Jonas Olsson. It was a scrappy game by all accounts and only the efforts of keeper Scott Carson kept West Brom in the game. West Brom boss Tony Mowbray will be delighted with this win and will hope his side can now do the job at home. However he will be without Neil Clement who is out till January after having surgery on an injured knee. Furthermore Do-Heon Kim is also out for at least six weeks with a knee injury. Midfielder Chris Brunt is also out with a hamstring strain.
Meanwhile Fulham came out second best against West Ham last weekend losing 1-2 to the Hammers at Craven Cottage. Goals from Carlton Cole and Matthew Etherington gave West Ham a deserved win although Danny Murphy pulled one back from the penalty spot late on. Fulham's Andy Johnson was sent off after receiving two bookings and and subsequent red card for awful tackles on West Ham players. Manager Roy Hodgson was unable to stomach the defeat especially because his side created plenty of chances in the game. After five games so far Fulham have six points are placed 15th on the Premiership table, while West Brom are 12th with 7 points from 6 games.
