Just one point in their last six matches has seen West Brom fall further away from safety and the Baggies are six points away from pulling themselves out of the relegation zone with just 9 games remaining in the season. Manager Tony Mowbray has set a target of winning their next four home games to be played against fellow relegation strugglers starting with a win against Bolton this Saturday.

West Brom came close to snatching a shock victory over West Ham United last Monday. The Baggies wasted a number of chances with Shelton Martis coming closest to breaking the deadlock when his shot smashed against the crossbar while Jonathan Greening wasted a glorious opportunity to score the winner when his attempted chip flew over the bar with just the keeper to beat.

 

 

They take on a Bolton Wanderers side that has lost two vital games against Stoke City and Fulham. While Bolton are comfortably placed 12th in the league table, manager Gary Megson will be aware that his side will have to improve their performances for the final nine matches if they are to maintain their four point distance from the drop zone and improve on their 16th placed finish from the last season.

Both the teams played out a disappointing 0-0 draw at the Reebok Stadium early this season and while a similar result will suit Bolton this weekend, West Brom will be pushing forward for all three points as they attempt to stage another miraculous recovery.
