Bayern Munich will be looking to continue their rise up the Bundesliga table when they travel to the Weserstadion this weekend to take on last season's UEFA Cup finalists Werder Bremen. The Green Whites have not won in the league since November when they thrashed SC Freiburg 6-0. Since then, they have drawn two and lost three and have slipped to sixth in the table. Thomas Schaaf's men are now eight points behind Bayern and ten behind current leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Strikers Claudio Pizarro and Hugo Almeida were only fit enough to make substitute appearances against Frankfurt, but are expected to start against Bayern. Bayern picked up their sixth straight league win last Friday when they beat TSG Hoffenheim in their first game of 2010. Goals in either half from Argentine defender Martin Demichelis and Polish born striker Miroslav Klose gave Louis van Gaal's side a 2-0 win over Hoffenheim. Bayern are currently third in the table, and only two points separate the Bavarian giants from league leaders Leverkusen.
