Wales open their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign with a game against Azerbaijan on Saturday. Watch all the world cup qualifiers live here on Live Sport Network.

Wales manager John Toshack will be without the services of skipper Craig Bellamy who pulled out of the squad as he is yet to recover from a hamstring injury. Bellamy has spent the best part of the last season in the recovery room and it is unclear when he will be fit.

Meanwhile Rob Earnshaw, who was touted to replace Bellamy, is struggling with a hamstring injury. Sam Vokes is suffering with a groin strain as is first choice striker Freddy Eastwood. However Vokes has joined up with the squad at the Millennium Stadium and could be paired up with Ched Evans for this tie.

Toshack has defensive headaches as well with Danny Gabbidon, James Collins and Lewin Nyatanga all out with injuries. The Wales boss has called Tottenham Hotspur defender Chris Gunter and he is likely to partner with Sam Rickets and Gareth Bale in the defense. Joe Ledley is also a doubtful starter for this game with a back injury.

Meanwhile Azerbaijan have a new coach in Berti Vogts and his task to take the former Soviet nation to the World Cup finals is a tough one as Group Four also features Russia, Liechtenstein and Germany.
