Villarreal will be hoping that fatigue will not be a factor when they take on Sevilla in their next La Liga match on Sunday. Villarreal feature in the UEFA Cup on Thursday and will be playing two games in three days.

Apart from the fatigue factor, Villarreal are in fine form as they displayed in their 4-3 win at Atletico Madrid last week. With Rossi and Nihat Kahveci in wonderful form, Villarreal will be hoping to nullify the gains made by Sevilla in recent matches.

Rodriguez continues to be out for Villarreal with an undisclosed injury. Otherwise the squad is in fine form thus far. They seem to have dismissed the 4-1 loss at Real Zaragoza as a blip and are well on course for a top four finish this season. Villarreal are third on the La Liga table with 24 points from 11 games.

Sevilla meanwhile appear to have shrugged off the departure of Juande Ramos to White Hart Lane and have displayed fine form in their last couple of games. They trashed Valencia 3-0 and followed this up with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid. They were unlucky to lose 4-3 at Atletico Madrid in their other recent game.

Francisco Javi Navarro continues to be out for Sevilla after damaging his kneecap during training. It is not clear as to when he will make a comeback. Manager Manolo Jimenez will look up to strikers Frederic Kanoute and Luis Fabiano to continue their fine goal scoring form against Villarreal as well.

Sevilla are on the 10th spot in the La Liga table with 15 points from 10 games. Last season this fixture ended i9n a 0-0 draw, a result which both teams will want to avoid this season.
