Valladolid are hovering just above the relegation zone as the crucial December La Liga games approach. They welcome Sevilla to the Estadio Nuevo José Zorrilla in this weekend's La Liga clash hoping to avoid defeat at the very least.

In their last la Liga game, Valladolid sank to a 1-0 defeat at Almeria thanks to a late goal from Álvaro Negredo Sánchez. Valladolid have had a miserable season conceding the second highest number of goals away from home.

Coach Jose Luis Mendilibar will be concerned with the form displayed by his side, but he will also be aware that there are injury concerns in the form of Dani Kome, Bartholomew Ogbeche, Diego Camacho and Alberto Lopez. Marcos was suspended for the Almeria clash and may return for the Sevilla one. Valladolid are 16th on the La Liga live table with 16 points from 15 games.

Sevilla on the other hand ended a run of three defeats and a draw in four La Liga games by beating Real Murcia 3-1. Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez will be delighted his team have gotten back to winning ways in the league.

Sevilla though have had a mixed La Liga campaign so far. They have lost eight and won just six of their 15 league games and this is a worrying trend. Again injuries have played a part with Alexander Kerzhakov and Andres Palop both out for extended period of time. Goalkeeper Palop in particular will be missed after breaking a finger in the 3-1 win over Murcia.

Seydou Keita and Adriano missed the midweek Champions League clash with Slavia Prague and it is uncertain if they will face Valladolid. Sevilla are 9th on the La Liga table with 19 points from 15 games. Watch Valladolid v Sevilla Live on free-football.tv.
