Slavia were crushed 5-1 in Prague by French side Lille on Match Day 2. The home side took the lead in the sixth minute when Tjani Belaid scored from the spot. However Lille turned in a stunning performance in the second half to destroy Slavia Prague, with four of the five goals coming in the last twenty minutes of the game.

A brace from Riste Naumov allowed Slavia to beat Kladno in the Czech league on Sunday. The result saw Slavia move one place up to fourth in the table. Valencia will be without the injured duo of Carlos Marchena and Joaquin.
